“ Butterscotch sundaes are the best. Jamison Gelato with Espresso makes Irish coffee so good ”
“ Haven't been here for probably 15 years. Great ice cream and picked up a kids size new York cherry. Brought some to my mom in a rehabilitation center and she really enjoyed it. Just wish they had a caramel flavored ice cream then I could create my Chicago brick favorite. Being winter service was great and the feeling brings back time ”
“ Delicious ice cream and gelato. Nice and attentive employees. Cute tables and chairs like a little ice cream shop. ”
“ Wonderful local ice cream parlor. Great variety of flavors. Monthly and seasonal flavors. They can handle larger groups. I hadn't been there for a while and a happened to drive past it. I turned around and got some ice cream. It reminded me I need to come more often. ”
“ I've been ordering ice cream cakes here for my kids' birthdays for several years now, they always do a great job. This one was the best yet. My son wanted a dinosaur rainbow Christmas tree cake. My husband used Chatgpt to generate the picture and we sent it to plush horse for the edible image. The result was amazing. Thank you Plush Horse for an amazing cake! ”
“ One of my favorites ice cream shops. I grew up around the area and try to stop by with my kids whenever we come down for a visit. They have a flavor for everyone and their scoops are generous. They always have a line to order, which always seems to go by pretty quickly. The inside is small with only a few tables to sit at, but outside there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy your ice cream- weather permitting. I love their apple pie ice cream and my goal is to try to 1937- 37 mini scoops for 19.37! ”
“ This ice cream is delicious, and the flavors are spot on! I did not care too much for the pistachio, but chocolate chip was great, and waffle cone is a must. The cozy patio area adds a charming touch, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy your treat. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area! ”
“ Old style ice cream shop. Solid Good ice cream, waffle cones, banana splits. Where you will go after dinner to take the kids or your mom and they will love it. My mom loves it. Been there close to 75 years. Tons of flavors. So think Baskin Robbin's in an old setting. Few options of dairy free and couple sugar free. Pretty quaint inside. Not spectacularly good ice cream quality wise, but good enough to keep me going back. This is one of those places that is part of the traditions and history of the area. Service is fast and that is good because it can get very busy. Oh and prices are reasonable. Had a massive banana split for under $12. 4 people shared it and it was plenty. I will say try it. ”
“ Recently I decided to cut dairy from my diet, but I've been craving ice cream. I searched ice cream with dairy substitutes near me and The Plush Horse came up. I was a bit nervous about the taste of ice cream with no milk. But I'm here to tell you it was scrumptious! They have about 8 milk substitute/ vegan flavors. I chose my favorite, cookies & cream. The ice cream was made of coconut milk which gave extra flavor to my cookies & cream. A combination I otherwise may not have thought would be so delicious. The ambiance was cute. The color pink and ice cream flavors everywhere. They of course have adult size tables but I found the tables for the kiddos too cute. The service was good. There is a cashier who takes your order, to keep the line moving and worker's preparing the orders. It got pretty crowded and I overheard a few customers say how much they love this place. The regular ice cream must be a hit too! ”
“ My fiancee took me here. She said she's been visiting this place since she was in high school. It's definitely not in a location where I would expect an ice cream place to be. It's at a busy 4-way stop intersection. Definitely be careful crossing the street if you have kids. The ice cream place looks like it's in an old house from the late 1800s or early 1900s. Once you're inside, you'll see that they have horse stuff everywhere (The Plush Horse duh) They have so many flavors of ice cream. They also have shakes and some smaller candies. They have ice cream cones, waffle cones, and 3 different cup sizes. I got a large cup of cookie dough ice cream. Since it was so hot outside (they do have plenty of outside seating), we ate inside. The prices are reasonable, and the ice cream is delicious. From watching all the people coming and going, I can tell they have been coming back for generations. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. 5/5 ”
